NEW! Cement Sessions
We are really excited to launch our new Cement Sessions: Starting in September these sessions will enable artists to get together with a new peer group over drinks. Bring a piece of work to display in our gallery/ project space and have informative and supportive group discussion and critique led by Cement founders Alison Hand and Julian Wild. Sessions cost £10 per person. Starting Wednesday 9th September at 6.30pm. Everyone at any stage is welcome! Spaces are limited, to take part please email us at info@cementarts.co.uk
ARTWAVE at CEMENT
We are delighted to be taking part in ArtWave Havens Trail again this year!
Come and visit us during our Open Studios, from 11am - 5pm on the 11th, 12th, 13th of September, and the 18th, 19th, and 20th of September. We will also be exhibiting work by our studio artists: The Baron Gilvan; Isobel Smith; Vicky Painting; Pam Aldridge; Julian Wild; Alison Hand.
Free Demos in sculpture and painting on Sunday mornings between 11am and 12 noon.
Cement is excited to announce its inaugural exhibition of mentees and studio artists at BN9 Studio. The exhibition marks the first year of being in our physical home in Newhaven.
The exhibition features the work of the following artist mentees:
Caro Clarke, Sam Jacobs, Vicky Neave McAlpine, Pinar Engincan, Martin Cody, Steve Bannatyne, Sarah Barker Brown, Gemma Hughes, Elspeth Penfold and Charmaine Evans.
Studio Artists: Vicki Painting, Alison Hand, The Baron Gilvan, Isobel Smith and Julian Wild.

During the cement exhibition at BN9 studio we have several exciting events, demonstrations and workshops so please book via the links below. Most of these take place in the exhibition with the exception of the studio tour and talks.
Saturday 4th April: Family Easter clay figure making. At The Sidings (Abyss) next to BN9 studio. This is a free drop in event- times tbc
Sunday demos: During the exhibition we will be sharing art making processes from our courses. With a sculpture casting demonstration on Sunday 5th April 11am – 12pm and a painting demonstration on Sunday 19th April 11am – 12pm. Location BN9 studio, Marine workshops. Drop in. No booking required.

Let’s Walk to three corners An offering, a walk for artists and visitors to Cement Art School. An invitation by artist Elspeth Penfold to walk with her. This walk accompanies the works, Home Altar and Lamb which are shown by Elspeth in the gallery space at BN9 studio. Friday 24th April: Please gather in Cement exhibition at BN9 studio at 15:30.
